Q-Did any of the Quirkles® characters change?

A-Yes. Botanist Bert was originally Bubbly Bert. Jazzy Jet was Jumping Jed. Quincy Quake started out as Queenie Quartz. The characters changed because we felt we needed to change some of the science concepts taught.

Q-How did you come up with the name The Quirkles®?

A-That was one of the hardest things for us. We knew we wanted quirky little science characters but didn’t connect that with the Quirkles® for a long time. We’d think ‘quirky’ and then brainstorm in another direction. After hours of discussion and research among the three of us, the Quirkles® just came out of nowhere…a “Eureka” moment. Fortunately, the name was available and we grabbed it. We can’t imagine them as anything else!

Q-Will there be more Quirkles books written?

A-Who can say? Right now we are busy finalizing the new book More Quirkles Experiments: Taking Quirkles Learning to the Next Level which will expand the number of activities and experiments offered for each of the original Quirkles. Then we have some other ideas for additional expansion. Another full series isn’t currently in the works.
